As Marlow won not only the Best Kept Village Competition - the Michaelis Cup, but also The Wilkinson Sword of Excellence Trophy in 2015, the town was automatically entered into the Cup Winners category (also known as the Tindall Cup) for 2016. This put Marlow up against all winners from the 2015 competition... Some very tough opposition! Unfortunately Marlow did not top it's category for 2016, but was scored a close runner-up! We are delighted and extremely proud of this great achievement within such a tough category. Congratulations to Stewkley, who won the Tindall Cup!
It is important to note that when the judging took place, the Town Council had only recently taken over responsibility for Grounds Maintenance from the District and County Council, which was also taken into account by the judges. We are still welcoming feedback from our residents and visitors on how we can improve the services we provide, and in turn, the appearance of our wonderful town. Don't forget to use our Feedback Form!
